 The Broken Hill Art Exchange Inc. residency programs provide facilities for artists and experts working in various fields of practice and research. There are three residency application categories including (1) Professional Practice: for self - initiated projects and private studio time; (2) Community Development: To engage local communities and groups for research and projects; (3) Industry Development: offering long- term residencies for those wishing to assist the Broken Hill Art Exchange activities, develop the Arts Precinct, relocate, or initiate new creative industries. The Art Exchange also accepts applications from artists and non art practitioners interested in conducting community forums, workshops and classes on weekends as part of a 2012 Tutors Weekend Workshop Program.  If accepted, tutors receive a complimentary week staying at the Broken Hill Art Exchange Inc. Residency precinct. At the precinct there is an events and exhibition space for hire and STUDIO 3 Art Space is available to residents and non residents
